Well I know it is still cold but those recent blue skies are maybe a hint that Spring will soon be along.
This month we have a few paintings from our usual group of local painters but we have been letting more people know about the site and I hope we will see some new recruits displaying their work here soon.
We have one new painter from Kingshill, JohnAndrews, welcome John, we are pleased you are going to be able to put some paintings on this site in the future.

We hope you like these paintings. Some were recently exhibited by Maureen, one of our regular artists at the  Bradbourne House Art show following a course there . The Show was very interesting and the many artists exhibiting showed some very nice artwork indeed.

Here we are nearly at the end of July and the sun is really warming up the UK
Hot steamy days and hot nights with some spectacular electric storms.
No grumbling though as it is so great to enjoy some real summer.
We have a few nice paintings for you this month from our regular contributors which we hope you will enjoy.
Some painted on holiday and some when we meet to paint, and some from our archives.
Artonthehill is always looking for new contributors so if you are around this area please get in touch and let us put your artwork on our little blog. So many artists paint away and then put their artwork in cupboards and drawers.
Artonthehill is a site to display some of your artwork. Send us an email to artonthehill@btinternet.com, and we will get back to you straightaway.
Enjoy these paintings and enjoy the summer too, we are!
Well here we are in June and still looking forward to some summer. The rain never seems far away these days and the gardens are growing wilder by the day as the mild weather encourages lots of growth.
We had a busy May so this is our June post and we hope you like it.
We have all been travelling and some of our paintings are from that travel and some from our painting afternoons.
Today we had a lovely lunch with Gail, (Thanks very much Gail!), who hosted us before her move to an exciting new life in the Loire, we hope to visit her there one day to paint and enjoy that beautiful part of France. So this month we are featuring one quick sketch by Gail of her recent visit to Venice.
Our regulars have been busy too and we have some paintings from France, Northern Ireland and more locally in Kent.
We do hope you enjoy looking at them and don’t forget if you are a local painter please contact us and join our on line community. Just email us at artonthehill@btinternet.com.
Maybe by the time we post next it will be warmer and sunnier, that would be very nice indeed.
Happy painting, Viewing, Travelling and thanks for stopping by!
If you are new to our blog we do hope you enjoy reading it and if you have visited us before welcome back.
We are nearly at the end of April but it has been a busy month for our group and as well as meeting to paint some of us have been on holidays too.
This month we have a nice selection of our artworks and they include some painting from a Golf and Safari trip to Africa and a trip to Lanzerote, and other paintings too.  David Bousfield made an Easter Card and a lovely Tulip painting , which is our featured painting of the month. Also Maureen James has painted the same scene from her holidays in both Watercolours and Acrylics.   They are both really great.  Margaret has two paintings here this month as well.Â
If you would like to join our on line Community of Art On The Hill we would be delighted to hear from you. None of us have many outlets for our work and this on line blog provides an interesting way to display the work of our Group.Â
Please contact us at artonthehill@btinternet.com  We would love to hear from you.
We hope that you will enjoy these paintings and wherever you are enjoy the beginnings of summer, (or the end if you are in the Southern Hemispere)
